Phillips Hydronics has installed and serviced Triangle Tube boilers for many years — it was one of the brands we installed most. Following the announcement that Triangle Tube ceased its North American operations on November 3, 2025, many Utah homeowners have questions. Here's a clear, honest rundown of what it means for you, and how we can help.
Important: there is an active safety recall on some models
Before anything else — certain Triangle Tube boilers are part of an active safety recall. The Prestige Solo, Prestige Excellence, and Aerco Esteem condensing gas boilers were recalled by Triangle Tube together with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada over a risk of carbon monoxide (CO) exposure. If you own one of these models, please check whether your unit is affected, follow the official recall guidance right away, and make sure you have working CO detectors in your home. You can find the recall details on the Triangle Tube recall page and through the CPSC. We're glad to help you confirm whether your boiler is included and what to do next.
There's no need to panic
Outside of the recalled models, many Triangle Tube systems will continue to provide reliable service for years with proper maintenance. The shutdown doesn't mean your boiler stops working — it means the manufacturer is no longer producing equipment or honoring warranties, so ongoing care now comes from independent specialists like us.
We continue to support Triangle Tube owners
Our team continues to service, maintain, and repair existing Triangle Tube boilers whenever parts are available. Spare parts remain available through distributors and aftermarket suppliers while supplies last, though availability varies by model. When a repair becomes impractical or replacement is the better long-term investment, we'll help you evaluate your options honestly.
Independent, not tied to one brand
Because Phillips Hydronics is an independent hydronics specialist, we're not tied to a single manufacturer. We design and install systems based on performance, reliability, serviceability, and the specific needs of each home — not brand loyalty. Whether you need routine maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement parts, or guidance on upgrading to a new high-efficiency boiler, we're here to help.

Frequently asked questions
Is my Triangle Tube boiler still safe to operate?
It depends on your model. The Prestige Solo, Prestige Excellence, and Aerco Esteem condensing boilers are part of an active safety recall for a carbon monoxide (CO) risk — if you own one of those, follow the official recall guidance and have it inspected promptly. For other models, a properly functioning and well-maintained boiler can continue operating safely. If you have any concern, schedule an inspection, and make sure you have working carbon monoxide detectors in your home.
Can you still get Triangle Tube replacement parts?
Many replacement parts remain available through distributors and aftermarket suppliers, though availability varies by model and component and supplies are now limited since production has stopped. We'll tell you honestly what's realistically available for your specific system.
Should I replace my boiler immediately?
Not necessarily. We evaluate each system individually and recommend replacement only when it makes technical and financial sense. The one exception is the recalled models — if your boiler is part of the safety recall, that should be addressed right away regardless of its age or condition.
What boiler brands do you recommend now?
We install and service a range of premium hydronic boiler manufacturers — including Lochinvar, Viessmann, Navien, Weil-McLain, IBC, HTP, and Bosch/Buderus — and we'll recommend the best option based on your home's heating requirements, budget, and long-term serviceability.
